Happy Friday, friends!
We have a big weekend ahead of us! We have old church friends coming into town tonight to put on a ladies reunion/retreat in our barn tomorrow. We will have a full house and I couldn’t be more excited! While my friends on the planning team arrive at our house and settle in, our family will be at Naiya’s last school spring Fine Arts Program!
With Memorial Day coming up next weekend, I’m sharing a festive dessert to celebrate this patriotic holiday!
This Red, White and Blue Trifle is loaded with layers of fresh strawberries, blueberries, angel food cake, pudding, and whipped cream for a yummy and beautiful patriotic dessert!
The season for making red, white and blue treats is fast approaching!
This is a light and fresh way to celebrate! It’s the perfect festive dessert to kick off your summer and celebrate Memorial Day! It’s no-bake and takes less than 30 minutes to whip up!
Enjoy!

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 angel food cake, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 lb strawberries, sliced

For the pudding layer:
- In a large bowl, combine the dry pudding mix and milk. Using a handheld electric mixer, beat for 2 minutes. Set aside.
For the whipped cream:
- In a separate mixing bowl, add heavy cream, vanilla, and maple syrup. Using a handheld mixer with the whisk attachment, whip the cream mixture on med-high speed until peaks form (about 4 minutes). Set aside.
Assemble the trifle:
- In a large trifle dish, layer half of your angel food cake across the bottom. Add a layer of strawberry slices. Spread half of the pudding over top. Add a layer of blueberries. Spread a layer of whipped cream. Repeat with another layer of angel food cake, strawberries, pudding, blueberries, and whipped cream. Decoratively garnish the top with extra berries. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days before serving. Enjoy!
