
Memorial Day is coming up! I can hardly believe we’re in the home stretch for this school year! It has literally flown by. This holiday usually kicks off our summer and we are counting down the days until we can live in our swim suits using our patio as a second living room!
We are also grateful for the freedom to be able to celebrate and enjoy good food and good times with those we love, because of the sacrifices made by members of the military and their families (especially those military mamas!).
Today, I’m sharing two patriotic red, white and blue recipes!
First up, my Spinach Berry Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette. The perfect dish to make as a healthy option for your Memorial Day gathering!

Next up, is a family favorite, my Red, White and Blue Trifle. The kids have taken ownership of decorating the top of this dessert dish! So fun, festive, and most importantly, delicious!

This week is a pretty festive one, the boys have field trips (they love any excuse to get out of the classroom!) and a half day, we celebrate Lexi’s birthday, and both of the girls compete in their school Outdoor Track State Championships! And the weather couldn’t be more beautiful here in Maryland. We cherish the few weeks each year where the humidity is low!
I’m off to go take our son to get braces on today! Three down, one more to go. 😜
