Welcome to 2025!
The first week of the new year is always my favorite! For weeks now, I’ve been brainstorming all of the ways I want to direct my focus and enthusiasm in this next year. It’s always a time for decluttering and refocusing. I love it!
We created a new tradition of sorts yesterday, by spontaneously taking the kids snowboarding for their first time! We woke up on New Year’s Day, packed up our snow gear, and were out of the house by 6:30am with breakfast sandwiches (made by Ryan) in-hand. We drove the 2-hour drive to Roundtop Mountain and spent the day on the slopes. It was such a fun adventure, and hopefully the first of many!
Today, January 2, the girls were out the door on their way to school by 7:10am, while the rest of us stayed in our pajamas and cozied by the fire.
Even though our family switched it up for our New Year’s Day plans, I’m choosing to keep with tradition here on the blog and host another New Year Giveaway!!!
Fresh beginnings are always my favorite, and nothing says “fresh, clean slate” than January 1. It also marks the THREE YEAR anniversary of this blog!
My blog was birthed during Christmas break three years ago, after cancelling our surprise family trip to Mexico (Ryan got covid) and I had nothing but time and boredom for the duration of Christmas break. It was a flurry of youtube videos and nail biting frustrations, but by the end of break my blog was up and running!
