Merry Monday, friends!
It’s December 16th and it’s time to get as festive as we can, seeing that Christmas is only a week away! With Thanksgiving being so late this year, we have had to squeeze in all the things in a short amount of time.
My kids know the first thing on the agenda after Thanksgiving is…
…getting out our Christmas decor and cueing up the CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST! Nothing gets us in the Christmas spirit more than listening to our favorite songs of the season. So this has been on repeat in the car, at home, all day, every day!
Our favorites include…
It’s an hour and a half of Christmas FUN! You can listen HERE.
So far our December has been filled with lots of life lately…
…such as Christmas pajamas, even for Hazel…
…and our first peppermint mochas of the season, a Christmas fave!
Our lazy elf has been up to no good, per usual.
Winter indoor track is in full swing. Naiya tried spring outdoor track her freshman year and loved it so much, that she gave up winter swim (even with going all the way to States for breast stroke last year), so she can try indoor track. It has not disappointed so far. The only downside is that all of their meets are held at an indoor track two hours away. The events she has settled into are the 55m dash, 55m hurdles, and 4×200 relay. Lex is still continuing on with winter swim, and even was voted Captain as a junior this year. Although, I have yet to make it to a meet, so no pictures to show for it!
The boys’ school had their annual tradition of Wreaths Across America flag waving ceremony. Although it’s freezing out, it’s always a very festive and patriotic ceremony to take part in!
On Friday we all went to watch the boys’ school Christmas concert.
Noah kicked the night off with a piano solo of “The First Noel”.
Josiah and his cousin, Madilyn, are in class together and they gave the traditional 4th grade recorder performance.
Per usual, we ended the evening with an extended Grossman family school Christmas photo. Just missing Naiya as she was at a Christmas party.
There is nothing like a good seasonal bucket list to ensure we create Christmas memories each year! The kids and I came up with this in 2022, and two years later it’s still our top choices for making December festive.
I’d love to know what your family traditions big or small are for the Christmas season!
Another seasonal tradition my kids can always count on is me picking up Christmas goodies from Trader Joe’s! You can check out our favorites HERE!
If you’re needing some inspiration for your Christmas shopping, I compiled all of my gift guides in one place HERE.
Our Christmas Movie watching shall commence today, as we have a mostly free day without sports or obligations. We usually start the season off with Home Alone, but our favorite holiday movies include…
No one is surprised that my reading list has been in Christmas mode as well! I’ll be sharing my Christmas Book Review later in the week, so be on the look out!
I’m off to get prepped for our last week of school before break, sure to be filled with Christmas music, pajamas, movies, hot cocoa and maybe some hot tub star gazing and family games with cookies!
Have a Merry Monday!
