Happy Friday!
I’ve been revisiting past blog posts from the last few summers, and in doing so, I have realized some of my previous Friday Favorites and Amazon Finds are STILL our favorites around here! I love when affordable purchases stand the test of time!
While the girls are away for the next month, the boys are keeping busy with swim team every morning.
This summer is the first year the girls have not done swim team in ten years! Even though we miss them on the pool deck, it has been extra fun to do swim team with cousins and friends this year (last year we swam on a different team).
As for swim gear, all four of my kids are sporting these goggles…
Every season, I buy a new pair and use their old goggles as a backup pair that they keep in their swim bag.
Speaking of swim bags, each of our kids have used THESE mesh backpacks for years. Gone are the days where I lug a huge swim tote stuffed with towels, water bottles, sunscreen, sharpies, etc. Now that they are all older, they pack and carry everything they need for swim practice and meets!
Now that it’s summer, I’ve picked up the daily task of killing flies in our kitchen.
We’re down to our last swatter, so I’m about to place an order to replenish. Not glamorous, but certainly necessary.
For the last two years, I have kept my sunglasses protected in my purse and easily accessible with…
…this faux leather sunglasses pouch. It still looks like new, and my favorite feature of this item is the squeeze top opening, which allows me to easily grab or put away my sunglasses without fumbling with a clunky case.
My top Amazon Find from two years ago is still number one to this day!
This Friday Favorite gets used monthly, if not weekly, in our house…
…for impromptu sleepovers. This memory foam sleeping pad is super comfortable (3″ thickness), portable, rolls up easily and compact for storing. A few of the unique features include: waterproof cover with non-slip grip on the bottom, which you can remove via zipper and throw in the wash. The strap to secure it closed also becomes a handle to transport it easily. We have the “cot” size pad, and I purchased a fitted sheet to go with. We use this when the kids want to have a sleepover in our master bedroom, or if the kids have a friend sleepover, and we recently took it with us to our extended family gathering just in case there wasn’t enough beds. It’s the best! I plan to order another one, but in the “twin” size (which is 13 inches wider).
That’s it for an update on what Friday Favorites and Amazon Finds we are still loving! The boys and I are off to a swim clinic hosted by their swim team coaches and then a lazy summer weekend awaits us!
Hope you have a bright, sunny weekend! xoxo
